LEBAROD 2008 - Sunday March 9, 2008 (NO SNOW)
PLEASE NOTE: JSSDRA would like everyone attending, to bring a donation for a local animal shelter that we would like to help out. The shelter we have chosen is in Voorhees N.J. It is a NO KILL shelter and they save many animals every year. Their web site is http://www.awanj.org . We all know what shelters need, but here is a short list of most needed items. Dog and cat food (both canned and dry), sturdy dog toys (such as kong and rope toys), towels, blankets, bleach and other cleaning supplies and of course cash is always good. Jersey Sands will also make a cash donation.

What is Lebarod? It is a fun mini-middle distance event that has had great success in previous years, a social/fun get together and a great way to close out the season. A 5-6-8-9 mile trails will be set out ( familiar to most of us & maps will be provided)
The NJ Pinelands are home to some of the greatest dryland mushing trails in the east. The intent of this event is to go as far as possible at a comfortable pace.
There will be some checkpoints where you can rest, water and snack your dogs. If you so decide you may go on, or quit at any time. When at a checkpoint., there will be handlers to help with watering etc.
Since a lot of people are involved organizing this event PRE-REGISTRATION IS A MUST
BY February 29. Tel# 1-609-965-7230 or e-mail : herl2@comcast.net. This will enable us to contact you in case of cancelation.
